Sure, there are some cool tools for creating something unusual that may make your resume stand out in a crowd. But apart from a limited number of career paths, who really wants to overload their resume with graphics or highlight their Facebook timeline when applying for a job?
I tried the one that converts your LinkedIn profile to a resume. While this is incredibly easy to do, to turn it into a useable format takes significant editing. Here is the raw form that the tool created for me:
